yellowducky's Diaryland Diary

Challenge

So, someone with the name of "Yell" leaves a message in my diary. That's fine. As long as it's not one of those links to pornography I really don't care who writes in my diary, as long as you attempt to maintain some level of civility.

The entry was a first person narrative from someone in a refuge camp among war survivers. I suppose the writer is someone protesting the Iraqi war. I suppose they are suggesting that the victims are Iraqi children. The problem? The person left no link...no way for me to verify their identity or information. For all I know it's a bunch of fiction.

Which is fine, I'm a fiction writer. I appreciate fiction as much as the next guy. I just think it's cowardice to leave such an inflamatory entry without identifying yourself.

Not only that, but it further undercuts the anti-war movement even more. As I've said before, if you can meet me with logical, intelligent debate (without taking it personally), then come talk to me. Talking, however, involves DIALOGE.

If, however, you want to exchange short works of horrifying fiction--I work in a domestic violence shelter. I have enough real life experience to draw on to curl anyone's eyelashes. Don't get me started unless you want to be really psychologically damaged "Yell".

And before I start getting lots of people hollering at me that children aren't really being bombed, I'm not doubting that. What I am doubting is "Yell's" veracity as "Yell" didn't have the cajone's to leave a forwarding address.
