I just want to put my head down on my desk and cry, but the DES people are here for inspection, and I have to at least pretend to be professional. Of course, they are in the group room, where the staff bathroom is. If this headache doesn't get better soon my stomach is going to revolt. That will be real professional, won't it? The walls are so thin, they'll be able to hear everything I didn't have for breakfast. I did have a good weekend, though. Lot's of flirting, and an almost kiss from my friend "Professional Flirt". Flyboy would have kissed me if I'd given him a little encouragement, but I found out something very disturbing. Well, maybe not to everyone else, but it is to me. He's 5 years younger than me! What right does he have to be that much younger. He's the one guy in the universe who acts older than his age. He's been flying professionally for 4 years--that means he had to have graduated from High School early. The nerve! So, I've pulled back. We're still friends, he'll become part of "The Group", we still flirt and he's flying me home to Kansas in Febuary. But that's all it's going to be, because I'm old fashioned and just a little shallow. I could have handled 2-3 years younger, but not 5. I give my guy friends a hard enough time when they date girls that much younger than them. There's such a thing as life experience, after all. I watched the olympic torch run past yesterday. At the intersection of Innvergordon and Camelback. It was both thrilling and anti-climactic. I was hoping I would be on national t.v. and my family would see and be thrilled. But, no excited phone calls awaited me when I got home. So, either I didn't make the news, or I haven't been home in so long, no one recognized me.
