yellowducky's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She's back! Sorry I've been gone so long. I couldn't figure out why I was so tired...turns out I had bronchitis. Dr. put me on bed rest for a couple days, and voila, I'm back to my old self again. I've missed you all. I had a flat tire yesterday. I walked out of my door at 6:50 am, and my front tire was as flat as a pancake. To top it all off, the spare is padlocked to the frame of my truck. AND I DON'T HAVE THE KEY. That's right, the brilliant people who sold it to me didn't sell me the key to the spare. But, it's all taken care of. My dad comes into town today. Not my real dad, but my surrogate dad. The only man on earth who can get away with yelling at me. I've known him for 12 years, and I play big sister to his kids. I love the man. I'm excited to see him, even though I know I'm going to get lectured on a dozen different things. Someday, if I'm ever feeling particularly candid, I'll tell all of you how he came to be part of my life. I had a date last night. It was about a 6 on the scale. I was eating shrimp alfredo, and I inhaled something spicy. I started coughing and tears were streaming down my face. My water glass was empty (bad waitress and my date didn't think to offer me his!). My date just thought it was a remnant of my bronchitis. He's not the brightest banana in the bunch.
