Christmas Lights

I spent all evening pulling little tiny Christmas lights out of their sockets and putting new bulbs in. Very frustrating work. It's all in preparation for a huge Christmas display, which will look gorgeous. I've just never thought about all the work that goes into those displays before.

SO, this year, as you drive past the scenes downtown, on church lawns, at courthouse square, realize that somebody, somewhere, has bloody fingers and a ripped yellow sweater, making all the splendor possible for you.

Actually, I'm glad I did it. I'm just grouchy today, and a tad bit pessimistic. See, all these Anthrax outbreaks look more like the work of homegrown terrorists to me, and it just makes me mad. Don't we have enough to contend with right now? What really gets me is that a kid has it. I'M SO MAD.

On a brighter note, have a date to go to the Diamondbacks game tomorrow night. Wahoo! I kind of like this guy. He's a big teddy bear.
